Anyone asked to sign with CoreSign should be able to read what they are signing and sign it, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This page says what we do towards that, what does not work well yet, and how to get help.
The standard we work to
We build the signing page, the account pages and this website to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. We have not yet had an independent audit, so we do not claim that every page meets every criterion. When we find a gap, we fix it or list it below.
What we do
- Everything on the signing page works with a keyboard alone, and every control is labelled for screen readers. Errors are announced when they appear.
- You can type your signature and initials instead of drawing them.
- A list of the fields to complete takes you through the document one field at a time, and says which are required.
- Pages follow your device’s settings for reduced motion, higher contrast and high-contrast colour modes, and work when zoomed to 200% or on a narrow screen.
- If you have an account, Accessibility on your Profile page lets you choose larger text, reduced motion, higher contrast and underlined links.
- Buttons and other controls are large enough to use with a finger, and each page has a link to skip straight to its main content.
- An automated check of every page runs before each update reaches the service.
What does not work well yet
- Documents uploaded as PDF files are shown as images of their pages. A screen reader cannot read their contents on the signing page. If this affects you, ask the person who sent the document for a copy you can read, or write to us and we will help.
- Placing fields on a template needs a mouse or a touch screen. Once a field is placed and selected, it can be moved with the arrow keys.
Asking for help
If something on CoreSign gets in your way, or you need a document in a different form before you can sign it, write to coresign.support@corelegacystudios.com. Tell us what you were trying to do and, if you can, which page and which browser or assistive technology you were using. We will reply as soon as we can and work with you to find a way that works.
If you were asked to sign a document, you can also contact the person who sent it. See what CoreSign is for what a signing request looks like.
